Reflecting Atlas

Submitted by Nicholas Catron

What mountain must I bear today?
An Atlas cousin, I must confess.
With the rain that’s weighing heavy,
I’m left to drown in this swelling mess.
Yet, where are the heroes, swords in hand?
For dragons need killing this day.
Could it be that gravity has its own plans?
Leaving me alone to wear this weight.
