WHY SUBMIT A GUEST POST TO VITA BREVIS?
For a little poetry magazine, Vita Brevis pulls in quite a lot of traffic. On average, I get a couple thousand views a week, and my articles often rank highly in Reader. Some are currently on the front page of Google. A guest post could really get your name out there!
It’s a great way to drive traffic to your site, grow your following, put your content in front of hundreds of fantastic poets, and get another publication under your belt.
Better yet, I’ll optimize your guest post with SEO tools so it ranks competitively on Google and other search engines.
WHAT CAN I SUBMIT?
Vita Brevis publishes 500- to 1,500-word guest post articles on anything that involves poetry. I recommend pitching articles before writing them. I’ll accept simultaneous submissions but not previously published material.
You can write about a famous poet, analyze a poem, write a guide to getting published, review a poetry book, talk about your style or techniques, your journey into poetry, the story behind one of your pieces, a list of useful tips–anything.
HOW DO I KNOW IF MY GUEST POST IS ACCEPTED?
I’ll respond to your pitch within two weeks via email (normally faster). If you want to increase your odds of getting accepted send a pitch on a unique but click-able topic and a link that showcases your writing abilities.
