Robin At Laugharne – David Pike

Plate 131 American Robin – John James Audubon

Robin at Laugharne came knowingly,
A spirit on a ledge being worth something
In the mystery of the currency delightful
And settling before me and staring its greeting
That would have been closer
Without the people at the railing by the shed
On my path to the boathouse on that morning.
