Distance
is a thin line
between one point and another
Have you seen
the windows of the elegant shops
attractively dressed in exquisite splendor
You travel by
the shabby wooden framed houses
standing battered and weather beaten
Do you know
the social establishments of the middle classes
hopelessly loud and smoke filled
You go by
the alienated areas of outsiders
contented in their faithful existence
Is it really
the thin line
between what is and what isn’t?
