Silhouette – Poem by James Goss

Storm – Ivan Aivazovsky

Poetry by James Goss

On velvet oceans,
lost, wandering
off course
in the horse latitudes,
I once saw something
like you
in the distance.

It was unknown
what I would find there.
Returning home,
the winds pulled down
trees and pools of
black water echoed
the clouds cottony glow.
I never went back.
