The sun a floppy disc
In the sky;
I wonder
When do we become
Obsolete?
When did the outdated
Out date itself?
When will my own thoughts
Drown in an ocean of sand –
Or poppies?
I always loved the red
Flowers spread amongst
Tapestries of green
Alongside the interstate;
But they, too, die.
I wonder when they realized
Their red bled out,
Petals burnt orange
From the floppy disc sun
In the sky.

Addey, “Conclusion” is a crisp read and yet full of provocative thought. Very well done. I will enjoy reading again.
