Somewhere between
the rhythms of traffic,
the beat of sprinklers
and melodies of birds
is the underlying silence
that holds it all together.
About the Poet
Danny is an American author of many poems, short stories and pieces of flash fiction, to date none of which have been published. He curated a journal of original poems, drawings and various song lyrics (by other artists) created for his then-girlfriend, and current wife — she is still the only one to have seen this work. He is the author of one article on a user submitted cut-and-paste sports website, which is his only piece to have been published to date. You can find his blog here.

Thank you! Much appreciated 😁
Perfection.
Thoughts like this enter my head on long morning walks and long sleepless nights. It is pleasant and revelatory 🙂
Truth expressed beautifully. Thank you for sharing this.
The beauty of simplicity shines brightly in this poem. Very well done Daniel!
Congratulations on being published and welcome to the Vita Brevis family Daniel!
I think they call that dark matter. 😉 Please forgive the humor if not appropriate. I liked it but that’s the first thing which popped in my head after reading it. Very nice poem!
