Thanks so much Brian.
Hello Brian,
Thanks for the valuable information.
You bet! I’m glad you found it useful. I’ve compiled more journals here, if you want more information: https://vitabrevisliterature.com/high-acceptance-rate-poetry-magazines/
Thank you.
Thanks for continuing the list, Brian!
Hello Brian! Is a 10-20% acceptance rate really considered “high”? Eeek! It seems harder than getting into an Ivy League school…😱
Believe it or not, yes! Mainstream journals average 0.5% to 5%, so I’ve heard! I mostly included that one because it pays poets–which is very rare at a double-digit-acceptance-rate journal
But to add to that — as an editor, I can tell you that just about half of the submissions to my publication are denied due to poets’ ignoring guidlines. So that skews the rates quite a bit!
Wow! Money is always a bonus. I’ve just got to put my big girl pants on and send in some of my work (I have a half written email made out to you as I write this…) 😁
Thanks for all you are doing to help us Brian. Reblogging this as always. ☺
